Snake River Transit (SRT) Malheur Express: MCOA&CS provides demand response "Dial A Ride" transportation services for the general public, including seniors and persons with disabilities, with grant awards from Malheur County and ODOT (Oregon Department of Transportation). Transportation Services start at 7:30 am to 5:30 pm (Monday - Friday).

Door to Door Demand Response "Dial A Ride"
Provides transportation to individuals that have made reservations in advance to their trip request. Demand response may be scheduled for individual appointments or on a routine schedule. Rides are provided by a twenty-four (24) hour advance reservation basis with same day rides scheduled on an available basis.
Snake River Transit Routed Services: The City of Ontario has twelve bus stops in collaboration with Idaho that provides the availability of travel to the adjoining cities of Fruitland, Payette and complimentary para-transit. In addition, passenger services include connection with the rural communities of Vale and Nyssa to and from the routed service in Ontario. 6:00 am to 6:00 pm (Monday - Friday).

Transportation Vehicles are ADA accessible.
Snake River Transit routed bus service
will accommodate people who cannot use steps including persons who use
wheelchairs and scooters.
If your disability prevents use of the
Snake River Transit routed bus, then complete a Snake River Access eligibility application,
and submit to Malheur Council on Aging & Community Services - Contact us at 541-881-0000.
The Americans with Disabilities Act
(ADA) sets forth two requirements for eligibility:
1. You must have a disability, which includes a
physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life
activities. Impairments may be due to
aging and/or a health condition, and;
2. Your disability must
prevent you from using regular bus service on your own, either some or all of the
time.
